On 30 June 2020, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has required Utility-Interconnected Photovoltaic inverters to be registered as per IS 16221 : 2015 & IS 16169 : 2014 under the Compulsory Registration Scheme from BIS.

A wireless microphone is also known as the cordless microphone, mostly used in television broadcasting, the entertainment industry, and public speaking so that person can move freely without using cables. In short, an LED dimmable transformer allows constant voltage for LED products and works with standard switches, and the convenient lighting of dimmable LED allows you to view them beautifully.On 01 April 2021, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has required the Dimmers for LED Product to be registered as per IS 60669-2-1: 2008 under the Compulsory Registration Scheme from BIS. The Government of Indian and BIS have made it compulsory for both domestic as well as foreign manufacturers.

It has a main body pot, an inner cooking container that holds the rice, and works with the help of electricity. The first electric rice cooker was invented by Toshiba. With the advancement of technology, new features as been added to it like sensors, automatic shut off, etc. The electric rice cooker has made life hassle-free. Anyone can cook rice perfectly. From its name it is clear that it used to cook rice, in addition to this it can cook more than 50 recipes. In April 2021, the Bureau of Indian Standards has made it compulsory to register the Electric Rice cooker under the product registration scheme. Product manufactured should be according to the IS 302-2-15: 2009. This step was taken by BIS to protect the Indian consumer.

USB (Universal Serial Bus) Barcode Scanners use a PC computer's USB port to move or sync captured data. USB also supports hot-plugging, which allows you to plug and unplug scanners without having to restart your computer. USB ports can be found on computer desktops, laptops, and certain cell phone models. Because USB ports are directly connected to computers, scanning an item's barcode with a USB barcode scanner allows the information to be instantly transmitted to a computer database or programme. USB scanners can connect to both Android and iOS devices, making portable scanning quick and easy. The Government of India and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) have required BARCODE READERS to be registered as per IS 13252 (Part 1):2010 under the Compulsory Registration Scheme from BIS. BIS Registration is a must for both domestic and foreign manufacturers in order to sell products in the Indian market otherwise, it will be a punishable offence.

"An automatic data processing machine is defined as magnetic or optical readers, machines for transcribing data onto coded data medium and equipment for processing such data. Automatic data processing machines can take the form of systems made up of a variable number of individual components. Automatic Data Processing Machine automatically processes data and reduce errors. It is used in the automatic acquisition and quickly and efficiently process large amounts of information. On 3 July 2013, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has required AUTOMATIC DATA PROCESSING MACHINE to be registered as per IS 13252 (Part 1):2010 under Compulsory Registration Scheme from BIS under the Gazette of India. If you are a manufacturer of automatic data processing machines, you must register your product under a compulsory registration scheme in order to manufacture, import/export, store or sell this in the Indian market. 

UPS stands for Uninterruptible Power Supply or Uninterruptible Power Source, invented by two teenagers James E. Casey and Claude Ryan, in 1907. The major function of UPS is to provide short-term power to the computer system when the input power source fails. It provides electricity backup and ensures that the system gets consistent current so that database corruption can be avoided. UPS is also known as the Battery backup and Flywheel backup. It comes with different unit ranges from 200VA used for the solo computer to large units up to 46MVA. UPS keep the computer system and other IT equipment operational and safe. Backup power depends upon the capacity of the UPS. As per the Government of India, UPS should be registered under the Compulsory Registration Scheme or BIS Registration because UPS is an electronic device, and its registration is compulsory. It cannot be imported/exported or sold to Indian consumers without the BIS Registration as it assures the safety of the consumers.

Sealed secondary batteries are easy and safe to use. The reason behind its sealing is to prevent the spilling or loss of electrolytes when operated within the specifications. When the batteries are in use it gets discharged, then it is usually charged with electricity. Sealed Secondary Batteries are used in mobile phones, laptops, trimmers, barcode scanners, etc., which are charged with electricity. These types of batteries also include various types of chemicals, which are helpful in recharging the batteries. Rechargeable batteries are highly strong for their size and account for roughly half of all battery sales globally. In short, when a rechargeable battery comes into touch with a reverse current, it has the ability to recharge. The Government of India and BIS keeping in consideration the public health, has required it to register under the BIS Registration and should be manufactured as per the Indian Standards IS 16046:2018.

Standalone switch power supplies (SMPS) are also known as the switch power mode supply, switch power supply, SMPS, or switchers. It is an electronic power supply that includes a switches regulator to convert the electric power efficiently. Same as other power supplies, SMPS transfer the power from DC to alternate current (AC) to loads like in a personal computer. As per the Government of Indian and BIS, standalone switch mode power supplies with output voltage must be registered under the BIS registration that is under the compulsory registration scheme. BIS has made it compulsory for both Indian as well as foreign manufacturers to register this product as per the Indian Standard IS 13252 -1: 2010. No manufacturer can sell this product to Indian consumers without BIS Bureau of Indian Standards BIS Registration.

Keeping these all points in consideration, the government of India and Bureau of Indian Standard BIS has made it compulsory to register it under the compulsory registration scheme. On 1 March 2016, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has required FIXED GENERAL PURPOSE LED LUMINAIRES to be registered as per IS 10322(Part 5): Section 1:2012 under Compulsory Registration Scheme from BIS.

BIS Registration provides the right to manufacture, import/export, store, and sell or distributes this product in the Indian Market. BIS covered it under the Compulsory registration scheme to protect Indian consumers.
